UB BABY!

Where to begin? Alli and I are know in UlaanBaatar or Red Hero in english. It is fantastic. Anything that you want here can be found for a price but after two and a half months in the hoodoo you will kill a man for a pizza and beer. The restaurant said that I didnt have to but i wasnt going to take any chances. Our first night here Alli, Salomon, Rachel, Phillip, Jim (tom bogway)thats big bear in mongol, jullie and I went to go get pizza. They actually had chilled beer mugs and brought out parmesian cheese and tabasco unsolicited. I had never been so happy in my life. It was just fantastic, just fantastic. Yesterday I had fried chicken and today a gyro. Tonight Alli and I are going to get a cheese burger, I am so excited. Tommorow our supervisors come into town and on saturday we swear in as actual volunteers. Then monday Alli and I fly out for Murun and our ger. I cant believe that we are going to be living in a ger. We will post our address as soon as we can. Much love from Mongolia. Bayertai

If we didn't know better, Mike, we would think that you missed American cooking!! You are too funny.

Let us know more about your ger. Will it have electricity, running water, toilet????

Also, let us know about talking via a skype account. We haven't gotten ours yet, but will soon. Can't wait to hear your voices. We miss you so much.

Wedding sunflowers will be in gorgeous bloom for your one year anniversary. Told aav-bri that it will be so cool to have wedding sunflowers when YOUR kids get married! Being rather vigorous self-sowers, it is entirely possible!!

Rox, Jazz, Dusty, Jack, Rhoades, Aav-bri, and good ol' Aaj send their love. I miss you so.

Love, Aaj

Dear Alli And Mike,
It is always so good to hear from you, especially when it sounds so exciting. Too bad you can't stay in UB.
Thank you for the e-mail on my birthday. I am happy to hear that you go the package. I was afraid I waited too late.
I am doing great. Can't work outside now, so the weeds are taking over and everything else is burning to a crisp. We are over 20 inches behind in rain for this year. This is the second year that we are more than 20 inches behind. Everything is so dry and hot. This is our second week with temperatures over 100 amd feel like temp from 102 to 107.
Every one says Hello. They can't wait to hear the news from you. Aunt Barbara is doing great. I will write you a long letter soon. I send you Prayers and Love from Alabama Friends and Family.
LOVE YOU!

Hi Alli and Mike:
Aunt Carol has a hard time keeping up with the new words but I get the drift.
I am so glad to see you are both together again.
Jake's son Casey had his first Birthday Bash! Maddy is quite the talker, we here "Excuse Me" quite a lot.
Jeff's crew will be back in school soon and Lauren is driving. Dad says get a job for gas money.
Lisa is enjoying her boat on Lake Michigan. UPS is still driving her nuts! She threatens quiting weekly.
I love seeing the pictures of your families and the scenery. Hope to see pictures of the school children you will be teaching. What sports after school?
Love you both,
Aunt Carol
